Melanie started her career as a journalist, working community news beats in New England. After taking on a digital content role at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, she caught the healthcare bug.
She has spent more than a decade creating digital content of all forms — blogs, websites, social media, video and podcasts. At WriterGirl, she splits her time between operations (marketing) and writing for clients.
Melanie is an expert vagabond with a passion for adventure. She tries to spend most of her spare time at the piano or jamming on the ukulele (making sure her music degree doesn’t go to waste). Other times, you can find her gardening, baking bread and hiking with her doggo in the Colorado mountains.
“We need to remember what’s important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn’t matter, but work is third.” –Leslie Knope
