Complete a 1000-page content management system — in four weeks.
An advertising agency in Cincinnati, Ohio, was charged with creating a content management system (CMS) for an automotive client. This project required repurposing existing content from the current website, as well as content from various support materials such as brochures and press releases. The agency contacted WriterGirl, seeking four senior-level copywriters to work on the project. As the project was scoped, four writers quickly turned into six, plus a project manager. The team committed to completing the project in six weeks; however, once the project was launched, the client set a more aggressive completion date and WriterGirl was asked to compress the timeline from six to four weeks. The result? Mission accomplished. And our client was promoted in the process.
Use existing authoring software to help a client enter the world of e-learning.
A division of a Fortune 500 insurance company had invested in authoring software (software that enables the creation of multimedia or hypertext documents and presentations) several years ago, yet hadn’t been able to use it. WriterGirl was able to bring in a top-level instructional designer with extensive experience using a variety of authoring tools. This designer worked with WriterGirl to develop a comprehensive e-learning course using the client’s existing tools. Not only was the client happy with the result, but they were also able to introduce the concept of e-learning to their organization as a whole, setting them on the path of developing a full online curriculum.
Rebrand a business without losing brand equity.
The business model of a small company, in existence for eight years, had evolved and was now serving an expanded target market. The challenge was to rebrand the business — name, identity, and website — in order to reach this expanded market, while at the same time holding on to the brand equity that had been built with the existing client base. WriterGirl worked with senior-level marketing consultants to refine the existing identity and build a new, more dynamic website that would reflect the additional services offered by the company. The result? The owner was thrilled with the new identity, and worked with WriterGirl marketing consultants to create a direct-mail push to introduce the new identity and website.
Put 25 experienced writers and editors to work at once on a project with an immoveable deadline.
A group of hospitals was in the process of creating new websites for each hospital. The first step in this process was the creation of all-encompassing master documents for each hospital service line (cardiology, oncology, dialysis, etc.) within each hospital. This process involved working with hospital professionals ranging from physicians to medical and program directors to administrators in order to gather the necessary content. WriterGirl was contacted to help finish up the project, once the client realized that all the documents could not be created by two writers in the allotted time. That was a bit of an understatement. WriterGirl ended up with anywhere from 17 to 25 writers and editors working on the project at once through completion. But the deadlines were met, and the client was happy, which is always the point.

"WriterGirl & Company was a lifesaver for PHP on a large project with an extremely tight timeline. WriterGirl tapped into its professional network and immediately put about a dozen people to work on the project – writers, editors, proofreaders, and a project manager. Thanks to WriterGirl’s unique resources, we were able to meet our aggressive deadline."
