I am heavily involved in an organization called the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) here in Cincinnati. It’s actually a national organization but Ohio has a fabulous chapter. This association is made up of an incredible group of thought leaders looking to strengthen the advancement and impact of women in healthcare. Last week, I attended a webinar hosted by HBA Ohio Chapter called “Tweets, Likes, and Blogs: Creating and Managing Your Professional Reputation” with Siren Interactive’s, Eileen O’Brien. I loved what Eileen did with the presentation – took us back to the basics.
She reminded me that social media isn’t a strategy but rather a tactic helping me to achieve my ultimate strategy. When is the last time you visited the strategy piece of the puzzle? So often it is easy getting caught up in the tactics without making sure they support what you want to accomplish. The world of interactive media engulfs us and we forget to take a breath. Guess it’s time to come up for air and realign our objectives.
You can find many more helpful tips from Eileen by checking out the webinar slides.
