WriterGirl takes on Puerto Rico

By Colleen Massa

WriterGirl has partnered with academic medical centers for nearly 10 years. More than 24 academic medical centers throughout the country have relied on us for content strategy and development. This year we were first-time exhibitors at the 2017 AAMC National Professional Development Conference for Institutional Advancement in Puerto Rico. It was nothing short of exceptional. We met colleagues in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, public affairs and community relations.

The conference theme was TRANSFORM. The goal of the conference was to transform your thinking as it relates to academic medical centers. What are the challenges these organizations face every day? What powerful stories can your donors share that might inspire philanthropy in others? How might you show the significant impact these gifts make in patients’ lives to engage donors, alumni — and share your successes with the public?

Maeve Riley from CCS Fundraising shared the “transformational takeaways” from the conference in her blog post.

Thank you to the AAMC staff and Juan Amador for making WriterGirl feel right at home. We look forward to attending the 2018 conference in Seattle!
